Pippi is known as Peppi to the Finns…my penpal’s daughter adores her so she must still be popular in Finland. I recall Pippi Longstocking, but it is from a long time ago in my childhood!

Just had to comment on pippi, just loved the book and here in nz in the 70’s there was also a tv seriel. and any one with 2 plaits refer to as pippi.
keep them coming they are great and I understand what you mean about travelling by post card.
